  Writing

In their art/sketch book students are to complete a monthly poetry assignment. This assignment is due the final Monday of each month unless otherwise noted.

Students are to organize their sketch book so that on the left hand side of the binding the page has a printed, published poem of the assigned type for the month with author cited.  Students are to illustrate this side with their own artwork (not copied work from the internet or clip art). On the right hand side of the binding, the students are to type their own original poem of the assigned type, making sure to follow all requirements listed on this site.  Students are then to illustrate this poem with their own original artwork as well.

Each poem is worth 16 points toward the student's English/Writing grade.  There is a rubric with the grading requirements. This has been attached for your convenience.
